Maintaining and strengthening gender equality level in Georgia: Good practices and lessons learned in 2020-2022

In the Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum, under the supervision of the Women's Information Center, a summary meeting of the project "Mainstreaming and promoting gender equality in the target municipalities".

The Women's Information Center, with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), provides permanent technical and expert support.

The purpose of the summary meeting is the presentation of conclusions and results on maintaining gender equality, bests practices sharing, and discussing challenges and obstacles.

Representatives of the central and local government/decision-makers participated in the meeting, including the Chairman of the Permanent Gender Equality Council of the Parliament, Nino Tsilosani and member - Ana Natsvlishvili, persons responsible for general equality issues in all municipalities.

Representatives of the German Embassy and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and other interested parties attended the meeting.

The photo exhibition "Voice of your city" was held, within which the works of Natela Grigalashvili and Zaliko Sulakauri were presented.
Photo materials have been prepared in Kharagauli and Ambrolauri municipalities and their purpose was to present local problems and needs of different ages.

The project "Mainstreaming and promotion of gender equality in the selected municipality" were implemented with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) program - for the local development of good governance.

The target municipalities of the project are Keda, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, Ambrolauri, Kharagauli, Aspindza, Khashuri, Rustavi, Gurjaani, and Kazbegi.
