Welcome to the Gender Information Network of South Caucasus (Gender Informational Portal).

The portal is an information platform aimed at promoting the widespread information dissemination on gender equality and women's rights through encouraging critical thinking and adhering to professional standards of journalism.

The portal tries to impartially and objectively cover the topics, such as gender news, that are usually marginalized in the media.

Users of the portal can also get acquainted with different countries' experiences, legislation, normative acts, reports, action plans, and researches related to gender equality and women's rights protection. Two interactive maps - Institutional Mechanism of Gender Equality and Women’s NGOs in Georgia- are another source of information for any interested stakeholder.

History of the creation of the Gender Informational Portal has undergone several stages of development. Different organizations provided support to its creation and existence during the past several years, among them Women’s Program of the Open Society Foundation, OSCE/ODIHR, Foundation “Mama Cash” and “ Kvinna till Kvinna”.

By using informational technologies we actively collaborate with journalists, academics, experts, decision-makers, civil society, and public at large.

With the motto, Women Can! Women Act! Women Change!, we are always open to the new ideas, initiatives and cooperation possibilities.

The redesign of the gender information portal was carried out with the support of the endowment Prodemos
