GENDER VIOLENCE
The officers of Ninotsminda police division under Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities detained A.I. (DoB 1975) for threat and violence against family member.
Committed crime envisages up to three years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee physically abused his spouse – A.I. (DoB 1975), father – Sh. I.(DoB 1948) and mother – N.I. (DoB 1950) for the last three months on the regular basis. During one of the confrontations, detainee threatened family members with liquidation and damaged house furniture.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of threat and violence against two or more family members, article 1261, II part, sub-paragraph “C” and article 111-151, II part, sub-paragraph “D” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
