Three young Georgian girls have invented a Teddy Bear that can help parents in taking care of their babies. TeddyBot is a Teddy Bear that can track baby’s sleep, remind parents when the baby should eat, inform when the infant is going to wake up, provide information about baby’s sleep cycles and even read a tale and play calming melody to the child. The bear is operated through OpenELEC system that connects to Smartphone’s application and fulfills parent’s instructions. With the help of special application mother can watch after and even talk to her child.

The invention is the result of mutual effort and work of university students Ana Lomashvili, Lana Rekhviashvili and a school girl Eka Dadiani. The idea of creating baby caretaker device was born in September, 2015, for the Hardware Hackathon contest organized by Ilia Chavchavadze State University.

As young inventors say, after participating in many projects, they decided to turn their idea into a real product and presented their invention at the conference under the auspices of Seed Forum (the world`s biggest investor network) where TeddyBot received high evaluation from the judges. On May 24 girls will have the opportunity to present their innovation at Seed Forum’s exhibition in Italy and have a chance to get funding to bring their project to life.

“We have presented TeddyBot at several exhibitions and it has already attracted massive interest. Moreover, potential customers have already contacted us expressing their willingness to purchase it. After TeddyBot will be fully perfected we plan to sell it both at local and international market”, - One of the authors of invention Ana Lomashvili said in the interview with magazine Navigator.
