Parliamentary elections of 2024: percentage of women in party lists
2024-10-07 12:18:17

For the 2024 parliamentary elections, the Central Election Commission (Cesko) website has published the electoral lists of several political parties, as of October 6-7.

Following the removal of quotas, political parties are no longer required to include one female candidate for every four candidates on their electoral lists.

The Women's Information Center analyzed the gender composition of party lists represented in Parliament, based on the newly published data.

The following statistics highlight the percentage of female candidates in the top 10, 20, and 50 positions on each party's list.

Among the five parties, two—"National Movement" and "Patriot Alliance"—have women as the leading candidates at the top of their lists.

The data has been compiled from information available on the official CEC website and will be continuously updated as more party lists are released.
