Police solved the case of premeditated murder, committed under aggravating circumstances against spouse which took place in Samtredia

The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities detained M.M. (DoB 1988) in Samtredia for premeditated murder, committed under aggravating circumstances against family member.

Committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on the basis of the domestic conflict, detainee inflicted injury with a cold steal in throat area to his spouse – E.K. (DoB 1973) and fled from the place of crime. Due to the received traumas the victim died at the place of crime.

As a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities the offender was detained several hours after the crime took place. He was found near to his own place of residence in an abandoned house.

The weapon of crime, knife was seized by police as evidence.

Detainee has already pleaded guilty.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, committed under aggravating circumstances against family member, article 10911, II part, sub-paragraph “F” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
