Three persons detained as a result of immediate activities for illegally restricting freedom to a young woman

The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained A.P. (DoB 1977) I.M. (DoB 2000) and I.I. (DoB 2002) in Marneuli for illegal restriction of freedom committed by the group.

Committed crime envisages from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that A.P. along with two accomplices illegally restricted freedom to A.M. (DoB 1997) with the aim of forced marriage.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom, article 143, III part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
